The Drama: Dancing On The Edge

Last night I watched the first episode of Dancing on the edge on BBC2, a period drama set in the 1930's. The plot is about a black band leader and his journey to prestige and of course prejudice during 1930's Britain. It's no Downton Abbey but it was watchable and as a huge fan of the 1920's and 30's I most give props to the...props! the costumes are to die for and worth watching the show for that alone. The  female leads in the show are also very good, Angel Coulby (of Merlin fame) and Wumni Mosaku really stood out and lets not forget these two gorgeous British actresses are naturalistas!

Dancing on the edge continues this evening on BBC2

  1. i sky+ this show, but thought it was showing on a weekly basis! better record the series...

the show does look exciting and it will be interesting to watch this show that has been set pre-windrush. i noted that Chiwetel Ejiofor was in the show....i think he is a brilliant actor!
